Much like Marvel’s Spider-Man, the sequel also has a slow, but steady build-up, as the game begins with an action segment where players have to save Manhattan from the Sandman. This portion of the game later becomes the inspiration for one of the title’s most expansive collectibles, as players later on can find Marko’s Memories scattered throughout the city. The boss fight against the Sandman sets the tone for the game’s scale, as each boss fight feels like a larger-than-life struggle with high stakes for the main characters. Furthermore, both characters have distinct abilities, so it feels fresh to switch them up.
Spidey fans can take advantage of deals on all three Spider-Man games for PS5 during PlayStation’s Days of Play promotion.
